Square Mile Farms is on a mission to reconnect people with food. We put vertical growing systems in urban areas, such as corporate offices, co-working spaces, restaurants and apartment buildings, so people can grow and consume their own zero miles, ultra fresh produce where they live and work, while enjoying plants on display.

Our events business has grown rapidly and is an important part of our service for our clients. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the team to lead the development and execution of our wide range of exciting events. This is a position that will offer the right candidate a fantastic variety of work and the opportunity to play a key role in a growing business. You'll bring your creativity and positive energy to a close-knit team, while also having individual responsibility and ownership for a key part of our business.

Responsibilities

To create and deliver amazing event experiences for our clients Collaborate with sales team, client managers and the farm operations team to coordinate the preparation and execution of our events and workshops Lead on events delivery, sometimes solo, sometimes with other team members, to ensure smooth coordination and extraordinary delivery - and capture content! Monitor and report on success of events, identify areas for improvement Work with the team across the business to develop innovative event content and delivery to ensure that we have a fresh, relevant and engaging event content portfolio Develop partnerships with aligned businesses to supplement our events content with value add material Proactively seek out best in class events formats or content that aligns with our brand to drive constant improvement in our events offering.
Qualifications

At least two year's experience in a similar events role Experience with digital design software, we currently use Canva but are open to amending/evolving if required A self-starter who is excited by the fast-paced environment of a growing scale-up business A positive collaborator who can't wait to get stuck in Creative at heart - you know what good content looks like Excellent at multitasking & ability to manage/prioritize workload A people person with exceptional communication skills Passionate about sustainability, greening cities, food, vertical farming Equally comfortable being the primary face of the business at small events as with working as part of a team in strategic activities Available to work in person (office, event site) up to 5 days/week
