HSBC Asset Management (AM), the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC's worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. HSBC Asset Management fulfils its purpose of connecting HSBC's clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.
We have an opportunity within HSBC Asset Management business for an Events Operations Manager.
This role is based within our AM Marketing & Client Experience team and is responsible for the planning, management and execution of the UK AM events programme, event marketing assets and processes. While the role primarily supports UK, you may be required to work across the spectrum of Propositions and Products in the HSBC AM business, as required.
In this role you will:Collaborate closely with sales, investments, and other marketing teams to carry out business events and initiatives and create detailed event implementation plans to reinforce business strategies and plans.
Provide guidance to marketing and campaign management teams to ensure consistent promotion of the HSBC AM brand through the events program.
Gain insights into client segment and investment product requirements to effectively plan, oversee, and execute future event activities that align with commercial goals.
Create comprehensive business and event briefs to facilitate the successful and efficient implementation of planned event activities, with a focus on tracking and measuring to showcase effectiveness and ROI.
Assist in the development and reconciliation of events budgets, negotiates with vendors, invoice reconciliation and post event reporting.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following:Prior experience in event management with an operational and delivery focus is essential. Experience of working with a financial services institution or asset management firm would be a bonus.
Ability to work collaboratively to provide full assistance on events, conferences, and sponsorships is essential.
Possess excellent project management skills and have exposure with Digital Marketing is essential.
Able to adapt to changing timelines and priorities - an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
