The College wishes to employ an Events & Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator, who will work as part of the Marketing Team to support the college's strategic plan, exceed recruitment targets across all markets, celebrate learner and staff success and nurture partnerships with local schools. The post holder will take responsibility for coordinating events that support recruitment, engagement, progression, employability and success. Duties include coordinating a comprehensive calendar of events which are consistent with the college's brand, strategic plan and marketing strategy. ?

?Key Responsibilities



Plan, organise and evaluate a comprehensive calendar of internal and external events across Camarthenshire and Ceredigion to support learner recruitment, engagement, and progression. Deliver events that are inclusive, bilingual and accessible to all learners, including those from underrepresented groups. Lead on the delivery of key college events, including open evenings, learner award ceremonies, graduation, freshers fayres, taster days, CEIAG events, enrolment, and progression weeks ensuring activities are inclusive, bilingual, and strategically aligned. Develop and manage strong partnerships with local schools, non-mainstream organisations, Careers Wales, Big Ideas Wales and community-based organisations to deliver outreach activities including Have-a-Go sessions, promotional talks, role model talks and collaborative events that promote the college and its pathways into further education, apprenticeships, and employment. Coordinate the college's presence at major regional and national events such as the Royal Welsh Show, Urdd Eisteddfod, UCAS and Inspiring Skills Wales events, ensuring a high standard of representation and stakeholder engagement. Develop and deliver community-based promotional events across Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion that raise awareness of the college's upskilling, reskilling, and lifelong learning opportunities. Work in partnership with local organisations, community groups, and adult learning networks to ensure events are inclusive, accessible, and aligned with regional employability and skills needs. Work collaboratively with the Be Ambitious team to plan and deliver careers, volunteering, job and apprenticeship events in line with Welsh Government's employability strategy. Ensure these events actively promote progression routes including further learning, apprenticeships, employment and self-employment. Work collaboratively with the Be Ambitious team to develop and coordinate events that engage and enable learners to consider self-employment and entrepreneurship as a valid career option. Work collaboratively with Inspiring Skills Wales, the Be Ambitious Team, and relevant curriculum areas to plan, coordinate, and host Inspiring Skills Wales competitions, celebrations, and awards watch parties. Support the development of events that raise awareness of skills excellence, learner achievement, and progression opportunities. Ensure all activity complies with the Welsh Language Standards and promote Coleg Sir Gar & Coleg Ceredigion as a bilingual college. Evaluate the impact of events using attendance data, feedback and learner outcomes. Report analysis to the Marketing & Recruitment Manager. Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop content for promotional use and campaigns, ensuring brand consistency and bilingual messaging.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise



Essential Criteria:

Degree or equivalent industry experience relevant to the post GCSEs Grades A-C in Maths and English or equivalent
Experience in event management Experience in stakeholder engagement Analysing and Reporting Data Building collaborative working relationships Professional and confident approach Excellent communicator with diplomacy and tact Excellent time management and organisational skills Attention to detail, proactive and able to use initiative Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Creative solutions and ideas driven Proactive approach to teamwork Flexible to work outside of normal contracted hours Able to travel between campuses

About Coleg Sir Gar and Coleg Ceredigion



Coleg Sir Gar was created in 1985 and became a corporate institution in 1993. In 2013 it became Coleg Sir Gar Ltd, a company within the University of Wales: Trinity Saint David Group, and part of a regional Dual Sector University. The College has an annual turnover of over 35m and employs around 800 staff.

Coleg Ceredigion was created in 1985 and became a corporate institution in 1993. The college merged with the University of Wales Trinity Saint David as a subsidiary company in 2014. The college has an annual turnover of 6m and employs around 180 staff.
The College is based in South West Wales and has seven main campuses at Llanelli (Graig), Carmarthen (Pibwrlwyd and Jobs Well), Ammanford, Llandeilo (Gelli Aur), Aberystwyth and Cardigan. The College is also home to Carmarthen School of Art which has its origins dating back to 1854.
