Events Supervisor -


Purpose of the role


To lead the operational delivery of events functions, ensuring seamless coordination, high standards of food safety and health & safety compliance, and excellent guest experiences. This role acts as a bridge between the Events Assistants and the Events Operations Manager, supporting team supervision, proactive planning, and live event execution with professionalism and initiative.


Reports to: Events Operations Manager


General Responsibilities


Report for duty punctually in full uniform and maintain excellent personal hygiene and grooming standards Represent the company with professionalism Display a proactive, positive attitude with a clear passion for hospitality and guest service Foster strong working relationships with colleagues and other departments Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to guests always Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment Follow all company procedures regarding sickness, absence, timekeeping, and appearance Attend all briefings, training, and departmental meetings as required

Key Responsibilities and Tasks


Operational Leadership


Oversee the daily setup, delivery, and breakdown of events and meetings in line with function sheets and SOPs Lead and motivate Events Assistants during setup, service, and breakdown to ensure efficient operations Act as the lead supervisor on events for up to 200 guests, ensuring smooth, timely, and high-quality service Read and interpret function sheets, and prepare accordingly for upcoming events by reviewing operational needs in advance Proactively check setup accuracy and venue readiness the day before major events

Team Supervision and Briefing


Conduct pre-event briefings for the events team, outlining expectations, responsibilities, and timelines Delegate tasks clearly and monitor performance throughout the shift, offering support and coaching where needed

Guest Service and Experience


Lead by example on the floor, delivering excellent service and stepping in to resolve guest issues or complaints professionally Liaise with the kitchen and chefs to ensure food service aligns with timings and guest expectations Ensure guest areas are always clean, presentable, and well-stocked

Food Safety, Health and Safety Compliance


Ensure all events and meeting areas comply with health & safety and food hygiene regulations Promote food safety best practices among the team, ensuring due diligence is maintained Report any incidents, equipment issues, or safety concerns promptly

Inventory and Equipment Oversight


Monitor the handling, setup, and breakdown of furniture and service equipment Report damages or shortages of materials and ensure proper storage after events Assist in beverage stock control and support accurate stocktaking as needed
