About Conifox Adventure Park



Conifox Adventure Park is a leading family visitor attraction near Edinburgh, set within 35 acres of outdoor space. The site includes a large Adventure Park, Activity Centre, 400-seat cafe, function suite and extensive events area. Conifox hosts a packed calendar of family experiences and seasonal events -- from Easter and Halloween to the award-winning Christmas Experience -- as well as weddings, private functions and corporate bookings.

Purpose of the Role



The Events Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring that the Christmas Experience event days run smoothly, safely and to the highest standards of guest experience. Acting as a senior point of contact on site, you'll coordinate front-line teams, monitor event operations, and resolve issues as they arise.

You'll work closely with the Events Manager and other departmental leads to deliver seamless and enjoyable event experiences for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities



Supervise day-to-day operations during live event days, ensuring activities run to plan. Act as the on-site point of contact for staff, guests and suppliers during live events. Lead and support event teams to deliver excellent customer service throughout the day. Conduct team briefings and debriefings -- ensuring all staff are clear on their roles, timings and safety procedures. Monitor guest flow, queues, and crowd control to maintain a positive experience and safe environment. Respond to and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively during live events. Oversee health & safety compliance during public opening, escalating incidents as required. Record key operational information for post-event review (e.g. visitor feedback, incidents, staffing levels). Champion the Conifox brand -- ensuring all guest interactions reflect our fun, family-friendly values.

Experience & Skills Required



Essential



Experience supervising or coordinating staff in events, visitor attractions, hospitality or leisure. Strong operational awareness -- able to spot and resolve potential issues proactively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a confident, approachable manner. Proven ability to lead a team and maintain high morale in busy environments. Strong focus on customer service and guest satisfaction. Awareness of basic health & safety practices in public environments. Ability to stay calm under pressure and make sound decisions quickly. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required by the event schedule.

Desirable



Previous experience in family or large-scale events. First aid or health & safety certification. Experience working with large visitor numbers or crowd management. Familiarity with two-way radio communication and incident reporting. Supervisory experience in attractions, F&B, or hospitality operations.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 5 weeks

Pay: From 13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 22 per week
