Job Description

We are looking for individuals to join our Events Team who are responsible for assisting in the day to day running of all aspects of the circuit and events. You will be working with Management and the Buckmore team within the business to ensure a safe, efficient and organised operation. The role of a Events Team Member is varied on a day to day basis, therefore we are looking for candidates that are able to speak in front of groups and deliver safety briefings, stand for long periods of time outside in all weather conditions and still deliver excellent customer service.
The hours are varied, and will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays. The contract we are offering is a 0hr contract initially, however there may be opportunity to work up to full time hours depending on your availability and the needs of the business.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
The main areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

Welcoming our customers and helping them register. Presenting safety briefings to groups of adults and children. Helping customers and supplying them with their race equipment. Programming and running the timing computer (training will be given) Safety Marshaling all types of events on circuit. Driving karts on circuit for setup, safety and instruction. Fueling karts Repairing / replacing circuit barriers and ensuring the circuit is safe to operate. Ensuring all areas are kept clean and tidy. Administration work - Including answering the telephone. Helping in other departments, working as part of a team.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of GCSE level education is required, including English and Math To be able to work Flexible hours, including weekends and evenings Smart, presentable & able to communicate with the customers and other members of staff in a professional manner Be physically able to work in all weather conditions, including standing for long periods of time. Be well presented and have excellent time keeping. Be able to speak in front of groups of customers (including children) in a friendly and confident manner. Be able to be responsible for themselves and others including customers and their environment. IT / Computer literate Ability to follow procedures and directions in an accurate, safe and timely manner Ability to provide a proactive contribution to a team that operates in a busy, customer service driven environment Flexibility and willingness to accept a wide range of tasks Quick learner with the ability to retain knowledge Positive outlook, adapts interpersonal style to circumstances
PREFERRED SKILLS REQUIRED

Previous experience in customer service is preferable. To be able to think quickly in stressful situations Due to the remote location of the circuit and the hours of operation someone that is able to drive would be an advantage Willing to learn to increase knowledge and ability First Aid Certificate - Training can be given
