We are looking to recruit an Exams Administrator to assist the Exams Officer with the administration requirements in the School Exams Office.
The Exams Administrator will support the Exams Officer to ensure the smooth, accurate, and regulated execution of internal and external exams which will include data management, liaising with staff, students, and awarding bodies, assisting with results and certificate processes.
Responsibilities
To assist the Exams Officer with the planning, preparation and delivery of all external and internal examinations, including mock examinations.
To support the Exams Officer with the recruitment process for Exam Invigilators
To support the Exams Officer with training for both new invigilators and refresher training for existing invigilators.
To support and assist the Exams Officer pre result days, on results days and post results days, these days will be in August and planned each year around the exam results dates
To attend training sessions with the Exams Boards as required
To liaise with the learning support department regarding access arrangement applications for the exams boards.
To work within the schools policies and procedures.
To comply with exam board regulations and guidelines to ensure valid and correct exam procedure.
To complete any other reasonable request from the Exams Officer, Deputy Head or Head.
Personal Specification
Excellent organisation and communication skills
Excellent attention to detail with an eye for compliance and regulation
Experience in a busy administration role
Ability to confidently coordinate with staff and pupils
Experience of prioritising, working to deadlines and being flexible
The ability to maintain a calm professional manner under pressure
Good literacy, numeracy and IT Skills (Microsoft office/ excel/ word/ databases)
Terms and Renumeration
The role is for 15 hours per week, as agreed between the Exams Officer and the Exams Administrator , to be worked around the requirements of the department and the examination requirements.
This role is term time plus two additional weeks in August to support the A level and GCSE exam results days. Additional hours will be required during the examination periods in January, May and June and these will be paid in addition.
Salary :12.60 per hour
