We have been recently graded as 'Good' in all areas by Ofsted and we are continuing to ensure that we provide the very best education for all our students in an inclusive environment.
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and highly organised
individual
to oversee all aspects of examinations management throughout the academic year. This is a pivotal role within the school, ensuring the smooth and effective administration of both internal and external examinations, in line with school policies, JCQ regulations and the requirements of awarding bodies.
The majority of external examinations take place during
May and July
, while internal assessments are held at various points across the year. During quieter periods, the successful candidate will also support the wider school administration team.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing the full examinations process, including entries, timetabling and results.
Recruiting, coordinating, training and supporting a team of invigilators.
Liaising with staff, students, Parents/Carers and examination boards.
Ensuring compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulations, including working with the JCQ Inspector during school visits.
Organising and delivering events such as Results Day and Year 12 Presentation Evening.
About You:
The successful candidate will have:
Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
Strong administrative and IT skills, with good computer literacy.
A highly organised, flexible and proactive approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
GCSE English and Maths (Grade A-C / 9-4) or equivalent.
This role would suit someone with
project management skills
, and while experience of working in a school and knowledge of SIMS would be an advantage, it is not essential as full training will be provided.
