Summary



We are looking for an experienced

Exams Officer

to oversee and manage all external and internal examinations. You will be responsible for exam entries, timetabling, invigilators, secure materials, and ensuring all processes meet regulations.

Main Responsibilities



Manage all external and internal examinations from start to finish. Organise entries, schedules, timetables, and exam sessions. Communicate with exam boards and relevant staff. Recruit, train, and allocate invigilators within budget. Prepare and set up exam rooms and required equipment. Ensure secure storage of papers and scripts. Coordinate access arrangements for students with additional needs. Collect marks, coursework details, and exam information from staff. Manage distribution of certificates and student statements of entry. Process special consideration requests. Collate and release exam results. Maintain accurate exam records, fees, and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience



English and Mathematics GCSE (or equivalent). Degree or equivalent qualification. Experience working within a school or educational setting (3+ years). Experience in an Exams Officer or similar role. Strong understanding of exam systems, procedures, and the national curriculum. Confident using Microsoft Office and databases. Ability to manage, organise, and support exam invigilators. Ability to work to tight deadlines, stay calm under pressure, and produce clear, accurate data.
