32,199 - 35,395 (depending on experience)

A recruitment and retention allowance may be offered for an outstanding candidate.

New College Pontefract is seeking a highly organised and detail-focused administrator to join our Trust Exams Team as an Exams Officer.

The role



This key operational role provides oversight and coordination of all aspects of exam administration to ensure that every exam runs smoothly, accurately, and in line with national standards.

You will take responsibility for the full exams cycle, from preparation and planning through to delivery and results reporting. Day to day, you'll ensure the seamless running of exam sessions: preparing rooms, supporting invigilators, managing special arrangements, and ensuring all scripts are handled securely and dispatched accurately.

About you



The successful candidate will have:

Proven experience in administering public examinations and knowledge of examination procedures and processes

Excellent written communication skills and strong attention to detail

Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, and computerised systems.

The ability to proactively solve problems, coordinate across teams, and manage a complex and high-stakes process with professionalism.
