We are seeking a dedicated and organised Exams Officer to oversee the administration and coordination of examinations within our educational institution. The successful candidate will ensure that all exam processes run smoothly, adhere to regulatory standards, and provide a supportive environment for students. Duties
Organise and schedule examinations in accordance with institutional policies and examination board requirements
Prepare examination venues, ensuring they are suitably equipped and compliant with health and safety standards
Manage the distribution and collection of examination papers, ensuring security and confidentiality at all times
Liaise with teachers, students, invigilators, and external examination bodies to coordinate exam logistics
Supervise examination sessions to maintain integrity and discipline among candidates
Record and report examination results accurately, ensuring timely submission to relevant authorities
Maintain detailed records of examinations, incidents, and related correspondence for audit purposes
Provide guidance and support to students regarding examination procedures and regulations
Skills
Proven experience in teaching or educational settings is highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with staff, students, and external bodies
Attention to detail to ensure compliance with examination regulations and security protocols
Ability to remain calm under pressure during exam sessions
Proficiency in using administrative software and record-keeping systems
A proactive approach with problem-solving capabilities to address unforeseen issues swiftly
