Oakstone Contracting undertakes works for both local highway authorities, developers and the private sector. We are seeking a experienced excavator driver, who is also happy to assist with works on the ground, IE Kerbing and other civils works to join our team.

Valid Excavator Plant Qualification, NRSWA Streetworks Operative, CSCS card, CAT & Genny Training and Full UK Driving Licence is mandatory.

Other relevant Plant Qualifications and First Aid also desirable, but can be provided.

Responsibilities

Traffic Signal Infrastructure Installation Works, Ducting, Chamber/Box Installs
Pothole repair and carriageway defect reinstatements.
Carriageway and Footway patching and construction.
Drainage works, including laying pipes, resetting ironwork and gully / access chamber construction.
Kerbing and Edging works.
Installation of road signs and other small civil works.

Requirements

Experience and competency using small excavators 1.5t to 8t and relevant training. A current, valid driving licence is essential. Shared company vehicle can be provided. Previous experience of carrying out groundworks on the highway i.e. kerbing, asphalt laying, pothole repairs, civil works, drainage etc. Valid CSCS Card and NRSWA Streetworks qualification. A good understanding of health and safety and its impact on the workplace. Ability to work safely and productively with minimum supervision.
Pay: 150.00-200.00 per day

Schedule:

Day shift - 9 Hour working days Monday to Friday Some Weekend/nights availability

Location:

Works locations vary within Essex, Suffolk and Cambridge. Travel to and from site via a shared use of company vehicle.
