Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as an Excavator Operator, working on a demolition site in the Kirkliston area, near Edinburgh.

Salary: 150-160 per day

About the role

To operate 15 tonne+ excavators safely and efficiently on site, carrying out digging, grading, and site preparation work in line with project requirements while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Role responsibilities

Operate 360 excavators to undertake demolition works, including dismantling structures, processing materials, and site clearance. Carry out pre-use checks and basic maintenance of the excavator, reporting any defects promptly. Safely remove materials from height, process waste materials, and segregate materials for recycling where required. Work in accordance with site-specific method. Load waste and demolition materials into transport vehicles safely. Support the demolition team with additional site tasks if required. Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

About you

You must have a valid CPCS card for 360 excavator (15 tonne+ ) Proven experience operating large excavators on site (preferably on a demolition site) Ability to read site plans Friendly, calm and professional manner. Good awareness of site safety and safe systems of work Ability to work as a part of a team and take direction
