Forest of Dean Stone Firms, part of the Lovell Stone Group, is a family owned business with a passion for British Stone. We quarry and process Forest Pennant Sandstone for a wide range of applications and projects across the UK.

We're expanding our team and are recruiting for an Excavator Operator at our Barnhill Quarry. The main responsibilities and duties are to operate a 40 tonne excavator and other mobile plant, including Dumper Truck, Loading Shovel, Drill Rig and working as part of the wider team.

As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery. Reporting to the Quarry Foreman, your core skills in excavator operation will be essential for executing tasks effectively. You will be required to adhere to our health & safety procedures, maintenance checks and procedures and Quarry regulations to ensure we comply with legislation and regulation.

The ideal candidate must have experience operated an excavator 30 tonne (or greater) in the minerals and extractives or similar industry.

This is a full time position, Monday to Friday, and a permanent contract. The initial starting rate is 12.50 to 14.00 per hour (DOE). Please contact Andrew Liddle on 01594 562304 if you would like more information.
