Main Purpose of the Role
This is a new role in a new team, being built by a recently appointed Managing Director for External Engagement and Sustainability to:
- Secure recognition for GEDU Global Education as a leading, UK HQ'd group of education businesses with an expanding global reach;
- Support the public policy objectives of the Group and of the individual group companies; and
- Showcase and develop the Group's activities that support achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The main purpose of the Executive Assistant role is to provide day-to-day support to the Managing Director to ensure the external engagement and sustainability team operate efficiently and effectively.

ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To assist the MD with the effective organisation, administration and presentation of the External Engagement and Sustainability team.
  • To help maintain an up-to-date action tracker, liaising with staff as required to ensure timely completion of outstanding tasks
  • To draft letters and emails for the Managing Director
  • To draft agendas, reports and presentations as required. Including PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets
  • To provide administrative support as required, including, but not limited to diary management, scheduling meetings, attending meetings, taking notes and summarising actions.
  • To ensure that documents, records and information can be quickly, effectively, discreetly and readily produced when required through the maintenance of comprehensive filing systems including spreadsheets and databases.
  • To act as an ambassador for the MD and the External Engagement and Sustainability team, exercising tact and discretion and maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
  • To help organise and facilitate meetings and special events; scheduling and coordinating dates and times, venues, attendance, agendas, and facilities.
  • To carry out any other duty commensurate with the role as may reasonably be requested by the MD.
  • Maintain relationships with senior colleagues across the Group to maximise synergies.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Proven expertise in all programmes in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Attention to detail
  • strong organisational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - both written and spoken
  • Proven relationship building skills and the ability to work effectively in an organisation that has multiple business functions and locations across the world.
  • Due to nature of work discretion is paramount
This role could be particularly interesting if you want to work in a small, newly-created team and have an interest in:
- government relations, PR and communications

- working in a fast-growing, global organisation.
