Your new role:
Grit & Pearl is looking for an Executive Creative Director who will be the author of the agency's perspective and bulldoze their way toward a bold and exciting future for the agency. We're looking for a stirring and powerful voice capable of claiming space for a newbie agency with award-winning, seasoned talent and a unique point of view. You'll be responsible for building a creative culture that's fearless, fast, and future-minded, where ideas are born from instinct, informed by data, and executed with polish. This role demands more than taste; it requires vision. Not just leadership, but provocation. You'll help guide our clients into tomorrow and ensure Grit & Pearl doesn't just keep up with the AI revolution--we define its creative edge. You'll mentor, challenge, and inspire a global team of talented creatives to push beyond the expected and into the unforgettable.
This role is permanent and full-time (35 hours per week) with 2 days in the office and 3 working from home.
Responsibilities of an Executive Creative Director?
Lead the Creative Vision
- Define and evolve the agency's creative direction, ensuring it reflects a bold, future-facing perspective that cuts through industry noise.
Drive Conceptual Excellence
- Oversee the development of high-impact ideas across all media and platforms, ensuring work is not just beautiful but strategically powerful.
Build and Mentor Creative Teams -
Recruit, inspire, and develop top-tier talent. Create an environment where experimentation, diversity of thought, and boundary-pushing ideas are celebrated.
Champion Innovation and Emerging Tech -
Stay ahead of trends, particularly in AI, and lead the integration of new tools and technologies into the creative process to elevate both craft and efficiency.
Collaborate Across Departments -
Partner closely with Strategy, Production, Technology, and Client Services to ensure creative ideas are supported, sellable, and flawlessly executed.
Act as a Creative Spokesperson -
Represent Grit & Pearl's creative voice internally and externally--on pitches, in public forums, and with clients. Be a thought leader and industry presence.
Oversee Creative Quality -
Maintain a high standard of creative excellence and consistency across all work leaving the agency.
Who are we looking for?
BA in Business Management, Communications, Graphic Arts or Marketing
10+ years agency experience leading creative teams, building creative culture and curating your own unique perspective about the industry.
A proven track record of creative excellence across multiple platforms
Experience leading teams through transformation and change
The ability to synthesize the unknown into opportunity
A point of view about where creativity is headed in an AI-augmented and soon to be automated world
Comfort being uncomfortable--and bringing others with you
