Our client is seeking a highly skilled Executive/Family Assistant to deliver seamless support to a Chairman, balancing both his professional and personal commitments, whilst overseeing the daily operations of a dynamic and efficient office.



This unique role merges the expertise of an Executive Assistant and a Family Assistant/Personal Assistant, demanding exceptional organisation, strong emotional intelligence and discretion.



The ideal applicant will serve as a trusted gatekeeper, the backbone of organisation, and a proactive problem-solver, ensuring the Chairman and his family receive comprehensive, tailored support across all business, personal and household matters.

Responsibilities of the Executive Assistant / Family Assistant in Gloucester, include:


Executive Support to the Chairman


Act as the first point of contact and liaison between the Chairman and internal/external stakeholders, both professional and personal Manage a complex and dynamic diary, coordinating high-level meetings, events, and domestic/international travel Prepare detailed itineraries, briefing packs, board papers, agendas, presentations, and notes Screen and respond to calls, emails, and correspondence on behalf of the Chairman; manage priorities with foresight Track action items, ensure follow-ups, and maintain an overview of short-, medium-, and long-term priorities Uphold strict confidentiality, acting as a trusted gatekeeper and sounding board

Family and Lifestyle Management


Oversee the efficient day-to-day running of the Chairman's schedule, ensuring smooth administrative processes and proactive service Coordinate with legal, financial, investment, and property advisors, acting as the operational conduit between the family and external professionals Maintain and manage digital and physical filing systems, ensuring data is secure, up-to-date, and easily accessible Support budgeting, cash flow tracking, expense management, invoice approvals, and reconciliation processes Lead planning and logistics for family events, household projects, holidays, and private functions Support management of multiple residences - liaising with contractors, managing property maintenance schedules, insurance, and household service providers

Personal and Family Support


Organise all aspects of family life including the three children's school schedules, medical appointments, prescriptions, family travel, and diaries Coordinate lifestyle services such as private memberships, health and wellness schedules, personal shopping, and gifting Provide flexible and responsive out-of-hours support when needed

Candidates must be/have:

Required Experience and Skills


Minimum 7+ years of experience in a senior Executive Assistant, Private PA, or Family Office Manager role, ideally supporting UHNW individuals or senior executives Experience managing cross-functional relationships (legal, financial, property) and overseeing household operations Exceptional organisational and communication skills; able to manage multiple threads with grace and clarity Strong financial awareness, including budget management and working with external advisors Tech-literate and confident with modern digital tools and communication platforms (e.g. Microsoft 365, Notion, project/task trackers) Discreet, professional, and emotionally intelligent -- with the capacity to handle sensitive issues calmly and tactfully

Desirable Attributes


Familiarity with managing multiple properties or family estates Knowledge of start-ups, family-run businesses or high-growth environments Knowledge of Gloucestershire based networks of contractors, suppliers and service professionals Driving licence and flexibility to travel occasionally
