STAXX is a bold new luxury steakhouse opening this autumn in Darlington. We're creating a dining experience unlike anything else in the North East -- premium steaks, luxury burgers, dramatic showpieces, and unforgettable moments.

The Role

We are searching for an Executive Head Chef to lead our kitchen and take full ownership of our menu. This is not just another chef job -- this is a chance to design, shape, and grow the culinary direction of a brand with plans to expand. You'll have the freedom to create an innovative menu while running the kitchen to the highest professional standards.

Responsibilities

Build and design the menu (steaks, burgers, luxury dishes, desserts). Lead and inspire the kitchen team to deliver exceptional, consistent food. Manage suppliers and source only the best produce (premium steak, poultry, etc.). Control GP margins, stock, and ordering. Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene (HACCP). Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff. Work alongside management to deliver seamless service.

Requirements

Proven experience as Head Chef or Senior Sous in a premium restaurant. experienced Grill Chef Deep knowledge of steak cuts, cooking techniques, and presentation. Creativity and innovation in menu design. Strong leadership and organisational skills. A passion for delivering a true luxury dining experience.
