Wordsworth Editions is looking for an experienced, proactive
Executive & Operations Assistant
to join our friendly team in our Ware office. This is a varied and hands-on role supporting the smooth running of the business day-to-day, providing high-quality administrative and operational support, and helping keep our internal systems, records, and processes organised and accurate.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Coordination & PA Support
Oversee day-to-day office and operational duties, including supply management, food ordering, and maintaining a well-organised working environment.
Coordinate post, courier bookings, deliveries, and returns to ensure smooth operational flow.
Provide general team support as needed to assist with the daily running of the business.
Offer PA support to the Director, including inbox and diary management, scheduling, travel arrangements, and light lifestyle administration.
Support meeting preparation, documentation, and follow-up activity as required.
HR Administration & Staff Support
Manage annual leave and staff absence records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
Maintain key HR documents, compliance information, and staff-related records.
Support company compliance processes, including insurance renewals, policy updates, vehicle documentation, bills, and HR files.
Data Management & Systems Administration
Carry out Booksonix data entry, ensuring accuracy across title information, metadata, and sales-related records.
Maintain and check Amazon listings to ensure product information, pricing, images, and keywords remain current and correct.
Manage metadata across Booksonix and Amazon, ensuring all title information is consistent, complete, and optimised for discoverability and sales performance (training will be provided).
Provide administrative support for Faire, including product uploads/updates, order processing, customer communications, and general platform maintenance.
Manage company files, folder structures, and access rights, ensuring documents are stored correctly and permissions are kept up to date.
Provide CRM support, updating customer records, logging activity, and ensuring data integrity.
Customer Service & Inbox Management
Support with the enquiries@ inbox daily, prioritising messages, responding promptly, and redirecting queries to the appropriate team members.
Support customer service processes, helping resolve customer issues and ensuring strong communication across teams.
Respond to business-to-customer (B2C) sales enquiries, providing accurate product information, supporting order queries, and helping convert enquiries into sales where appropriate.
Website & Digital Support
Carry out light website updates, ensuring content, product pages, and general information remain accurate and consistent.
Provide support to the Digital team as needed, including research, asset organisation, and coordination of promotional materials.
Event & Project Coordination
Provide assistance to the Production team with the planning, logistics, and delivery of company events, including book fairs, team gatherings, and industry activities.
Attend book fairs as required, supporting on-the-day coordination, stakeholder engagement, and event logistics (this may include overnight and overseas travel).
Carry out research tasks to support operational projects, marketing activity, or new business initiatives.
Compliance Monitoring
Maintain accurate compliance records for company policies, insurance, operational documentation, and statutory requirements.
Liaise with internal teams and external providers to ensure all compliance-related information is properly recorded and accessible

Confident using

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and strong follow-through
A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to manage multiple priorities
A team player who enjoys working in a supportive, collaborative environment
Professional and friendly communication skills (written and verbal)
Interest in publishing, books, or literature is a real advantage
Comfortable working in an office environment where dogs are present
Must have own vehicle, as the office is in a rural location with no public transport links
