Job Summary
We are hiring an experienced and forward-thinking
Executive Producer
to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of our live news programming. This is a key leadership role, responsible for managing content flow, guiding editorial decisions, and overseeing the production of news bulletins and special segments across a 24-hour news cycle.
You will work closely with presenters, editors, producers, reporters, and technical teams to deliver timely, accurate, and visually engaging news broadcasts that reflect our values and vision.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the editorial direction and output of live news bulletins and programmes
Oversee rundown structures, story ordering, and segment formatting
Make real-time editorial decisions during live broadcasts
Coordinate with reporters, video journalists, and news editors on story development
Guide on-air talent, including anchors and presenters, ensuring alignment with editorial tone
Supervise producers, scriptwriters, and studio teams to maintain consistency and quality
Ensure compliance with OFCOM regulations and internal editorial standards
Respond to breaking news situations and manage rolling coverage under pressure
Collaborate with technical, digital, and social media teams to maintain cross-platform consistency
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Media Production, or a related field
Minimum 2 years' experience in a senior editorial or live broadcast production role
Proven ability to lead a newsroom or production team
Excellent news judgment and decision-making under pressure
Strong understanding of live broadcast workflows and studio operations
Excellent script-editing, communication, and team management skills
Deep understanding of UK regulatory requirements, including OFCOM guidelines
Experience managing rolling or breaking news preferred
Salary:
25000-40000 (Based on experience)
