Finance Admin Assistant (part time), Harleston, Norfolk

We are looking for an energetic individual to support the Associate Director and Warehouse Office Manager, with the day-to-day accounting and ad hoc administration duties. You Must have 3+ years previous financial/accounts experience. A relevant degree and studying towards AAT/ACCA/CIMA qualification would be considered a plus. You will be trained on how to operate the accounts system, however you must possess good understanding of how accounts work.

The client is a fast growing, global, ecological paint manufacturer with over 45 worldwide distributors. Using only natural ingredients and an entirely sustainable manufacturing process, our product is one of the most environmentally friendly paints available anywhere in the world.

Your duties will include:

  • Monthly reconciliation of several bank accounts and online platforms (Paypal, AMEX etc)
  • Updating the accounting system with all bills/invoices and filing all accordingly
  • Preparing the list of invoices due for payment on a weekly basis
  • Credit control (dealing with new applications and managing the current trade accounts)
  • Forex Exchange transactions and Euro payments to international suppliers
  • Payroll, keeping a log of monthly changes
  • Expenses reports, to check all staff monthly expenses and submit for payment
  • HMRC - manage the VAT and PAYE accounts, when necessary
  • Any other finance/sales/general administration duties as reasonably required
Skills and abilities:
  • Outstanding attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Excellent computer skills and abilities to work with MS Office Suite
  • Reliable and able to take the initiative with minimum supervision
  • Flexible
  • Resourceful
  • Preferably you will have experience in working with e-stores / e-commerce, Worldpay, WooCommerce and are familiar with online method of payments
Hours of Work:

Initially 4hrs/day, over 5 days, with the prospect of progressing the role to full time depending on the company growth; the working hours can be negotiated, open to flexibility to allow school run etc.

Remuneration:

Basic yearly salary starts at \xc2\xa3 14,000 with an hourly rate of approx. \xc2\xa313.46 p/hr (depending on experience).
