Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sage 50 software and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This role requires proficiency in Sage 50 software and a strong understanding of financial concepts. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of our company. You will need a car due to the location of our office, as there is no train stations close by.
Responsibilities
Maintain and update financial records using accounting software Sage 50.
Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation to maintain accuracy in financial reporting.
Prepare financial reports, including income statements and cash flow statements.
Analyse accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
Skills
Proficiency in accounting software Sage 50 is a must.
Familiarity with financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, account analysis, and technical accounting.
Experience with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, and VAT experience is necessary.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data effectively.
