Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Brick Layer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in bricklaying and masonry, with the ability to work effectively using both hand and power tools. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship on various construction projects, including residential and commercial builds.

Responsibilities

Lay bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry materials according to specifications and blueprints. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks. Ensure the structural integrity of walls, foundations, and other masonry structures. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and roofers, to ensure seamless project execution. Conduct repairs and maintenance on existing brickwork as required. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Assist in the training of apprentices or less experienced workers when necessary.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Brick Layer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in bricklaying techniques and masonry work. Familiarity with operating various power tools and hand tools relevant to the trade. Ability to weld is considered an advantage but not essential. Strong understanding of construction safety practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks over extended periods.
