About Us



Daulby & Tickle are a bespoke kitchen design and manufacturing company. We hand-build high-quality kitchens using both pre-manufactured and in-house components, with a strong focus on precision, craftsmanship and attention to detail.

We are seeking an experienced cabinet maker / workshop technician to join our small, skilled team. This is a hands-on, senior workshop role, not suitable for trainees or entry-level applicants

The Role



You will be involved in the preparation, manufacture and assembly of bespoke kitchen cabinets and components. This is a hands-on role where accuracy, finish and attention to detail are paramount. Once familiar with our systems and standards, you will work independently for the majority of the role.

Key Responsibilities:



Assemble bespoke kitchen cabinets and components (doors, drawers, carcasses & fittings) Operate CNC drilling machinery (programs provided) Sand and finish veneered or laminated panels Produce one-off or bespoke components as required Goods in/out, stock handling and workshop organisation Maintain quality control and adherence to safety standards Assist with material ordering and tracking when necessary

Ideal Candidate



This role is suited to an experienced, time-served cabinet maker or bench joiner, who takes pride in precision workmanship and consistent quality.

You will ideally have:

? A background in bespoke joinery, cabinet making or high-end furniture manufacture

? Completed a formal apprenticeship or equivalent industry training (NVQ Level 2/3 or similar)

? Strong experience working from technical drawings and specifications

? Excellent knowledge of materials, fittings, joinery methods and workshop machinery

?A methodical approach to work with high standards for accuracy and finish

? Experience maintaining quality control in a professional workshop environment

? The confidence to work independently while contributing positively to a small, skilled team

Desirable:

Experience in luxury interiors, kitchen fit-out or high-end bespoke furniture workshops

Fork lift or Reach truck licence

Pay & Benefits



21.03-23.59 per hour ( 41,000-46,000 per year)



Pay based on experience and capability, higher offers for exceptional candidates Stable, full-time position in a growing business Varied, high-quality work (not repetitive production line tasks) Monday-Friday 8:00-16:30 24 days holiday + bank holidays Workplace pension Statutory sick pay
Overtime is generally not required but may be offered occasionally at standard hourly rate or as time in lieu.

Location & Travel Consideration



Our workshop is based in Blacknest (GU34). Applicants should live within a reasonable and sustainable commuting distance and be comfortable with a consistent Monday-Friday workshop based-role.
