Davies Shaw are looking for an experienced Cabinet Maker / Bench Joiner to join our team.

Davies Shaw are an experienced team of cabinetmakers and designers producing bespoke furniture and joinery from our Shrewsbury workshops. Working predominantly within the high end residential market we work closely with architects, interior designers, developers and private clients on a wide variety of projects. These include the design, manufacture and installation of Kitchens, Dressing Rooms, Media Rooms, Wine Rooms, Cinema Rooms & Studies as well as Interior Doors and Joinery. Our work is carried out nationwide but principally within London and the North West.

Due to continued expansion, we are looking for full time experienced cabinet makers and bench joiners to join our team. Based at our workshops in Shrewsbury and undertaking the manufacture of our cabinetwork and joinery but would also be expected to assist with onsite installations in order to meet the demands of the business.

The successful candidate must have the following:

Minimum 5 Years' Experience. Relevant qualifications in woodworking/joinery an advantage

Experience using a wide range of hand & power tools and workshop machinery essential

Good understanding of commercial manufacturing techniques and methods

A passion and commitment to producing high quality work with high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Must be self-motivated with a proactive, positive outlook and a 'right first time' approach.

Be able to read, understand and work from production drawings. Have great problem-solving skills. Be cleared headed and patient when presented with unexpected situations or technical issues.

Possess good communication skills and the ability to work both as part of a team and individually

Have an ability to manage time effectively to ensure work is completed on time and to specification

Expected to possess a good range of own hand tools and be proficient in their use

A flexible approach to working hours and be prepared to travel and stay overnight

Possess a full clean UK driving licence and be confident driving a variety of vans/vehicles
