What We're Looking For:
Minimum 2 years experience in domiciliary care, supported living, supported accommodation, or complex care.
Valid UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes.
Must be authorised to work in the UK - no sponsorship available.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills in meal preparation and basic cooking techniques.
A caring, reliable, and proactive attitude.
Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
A caring attitude, patience, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, particularly for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
A background in childcare can be beneficial for those working with younger clients or families.
Responsibilities Include:
Providing person-centred care and support in clients' homes or supported accommodation settings.
Supporting individuals with complex needs, including learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, and physical disabilities.
Assisting with daily tasks such as personal care, medication, meal prep, and community engagement.
Documenting care accurately and professionally.
Working collaboratively with families and healthcare professionals to ensure best outcomes.
Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Supporting meal preparation and ensuring that dietary needs are met.
Providing companionship and engaging clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing.
Assisting with medication reminders and monitoring health conditions as directed by healthcare professionals.
Implementing behaviour management strategies for clients with specific needs, including dementia care.
