We are seeking an

experienced and highly motivated Factory Manager

to lead operations in our busy seafood processing facility, with a strong focus on

crab processing

. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to live and work in one of the UK's most stunning coastal locations while managing a high-quality, export-focused production line.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily running of the crab/seafood processing plant, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards. Lead, motivate, and manage a multi-skilled production team. Implement and maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and quality control systems (HACCP, BRC, SALSA, etc.). Manage production planning, workflow, and output to meet seasonal demand and export deadlines. Monitor and control budgets, costs, and resources effectively. Maintain compliance with all relevant UK/EU seafood processing regulations. Liaise with suppliers, buyers, logistics partners, and regulatory bodies.

Essential Criteria:

Proven management experience in

seafood processing

, ideally

crab processing

. Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, problem-solving approach. In-depth knowledge of food safety, quality assurance, and compliance standards. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets. IT literate (MS Office, production management systems).

Desirable:

Experience working in remote or island-based operations. Knowledge of international seafood markets and export processes. Formal qualifications in food safety/processing.
