We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Factory Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and managing a team of skilled workers. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to implement effective strategies that enhance productivity and safety within the factory environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily factory operations to ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring optimal resource allocation and minimising downtime.
Manage and mentor factory staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional development.
Monitor production processes and equipment performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and training sessions for staff.
Collaborate with other departments such as logistics, quality control, and procurement to streamline operations.
Maintain accurate records of production metrics, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance schedules.
Prepare reports for senior management on production performance, challenges faced, and proposed solutions.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong understanding of production processes, quality control standards, and health and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and decision-making.
Proficient in using manufacturing software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management or a related field is preferred but not essential.
