Children's Residential Home

You'll play a key role in the launch, development, and ongoing success of the home--supporting the Registered Manager in creating a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment where children and young people can thrive and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Residential Support Workers.
Ensure the home operates in line with
Ofsted regulations
,
Children's Homes Regulations
, and
Quality Standards
.
Promote a positive, stable, and caring environment that meets the individual needs of each child.
Support with recruitment, induction, and training of staff.
Assist in care planning, risk assessments, and regular reviews.
Act as the Responsible Person in the absence of the Registered Manager.
Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and external professionals.
About You
Previous experience as a
Deputy Manager
,
Senior Support Worker
, or similar leadership role within a
children's residential setting
.
Strong working knowledge of
Ofsted standards
, safeguarding, and children's legislation.
A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) or complex needs.
Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare
(or equivalent) essential.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
(or willingness to work towards) desirable.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
