The Role

This is not a repetitive bench-welding job.

As a Welder Fabricator at Newspace, you'll work on full modular buildings and portable accommodation units, fabricating and welding large, varied structures as part of a skilled fab shop team.

You'll have the opportunity to move across multiple stages of the production process, including fabrication, welding, assembly, and finishing--giving you real variety, development, and involvement in complete builds from start to finish.

There may also be occasional site work, assembling or installing units on customer sites, giving a wider perspective on the full lifecycle of the product.

Key Responsibilities

Fabricating and welding structural steel components MIG welding using jigs to ensure accuracy and consistency Working from engineering drawings and specifications Setting up and working within fabrication jigs and fixtures Moving between different stages of the fab shop production process Occasional site work for assembly or installation Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator Strong MIG welding skills Experience working with jigs and fixtures Confident reading fabrication and engineering drawings High standards of workmanship and attention to detail A flexible, proactive approach with pride in your work Willingness to undertake occasional site work
