At The Flower Lounge very one of our designs is created by an incredible team who are truly obsessed with flowers and love what they do. We're now looking for a passionate, positive individual to join our award-winning team on a part-time maternity cover basis (3-4 days per week) at our independent flower shop in Didsbury, Manchester.

This role is perfect for an experienced florist who can deliver innovative, creative designs with skill and care, while upholding our commitment to exceptional customer service.

About You

You'll be an enthusiastic team player with an obvious love of flowers and floristry. Retail, funeral, and wedding floristry experience is essential, along with the ability to thrive in a busy environment. You'll be confident prioritising, multitasking, and working to deadlines, all while remaining calm and providing impeccable customer service.

A minimum of two years' relevant experience is essential-we're looking for someone who can truly hit the ground running. You should have strong flower knowledge, a good understanding of seasonality, and feel comfortable making recommendations to customers. A solid knowledge of plants and plant care would be a bonus.

Working Pattern

This is a part-time maternity cover role (3-4 days per week) Saturday working is required Flexibility and commitment are key. During busy periods, you may be required to work additional hours or swap days off Overtime will be expected during peak seasons, and a positive attitude towards this is welcomed

Main Responsibilities

Taking telephone orders and using our computerised ordering system Greeting and assisting customers, offering knowledgeable advice and outstanding customer service Creating retail, funeral, and wedding designs with consistent attention to detail Supporting event set-ups and off-site installations Ensuring our high standards are reflected in everything we do
