Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and creative Florist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and arranging floral displays for various occasions, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the stores visual appeal.

Responsibilities

Designing and creating floral arrangements tailored to customer specifications and event requirements Assisting customers with selecting flowers, plants, and related products, providing expert advice on care and maintenance Maintaining the freshness and quality of all floral products through proper handling and storage Organising displays to optimise visual appeal and maximise sales potential Managing stock levels, including ordering new stock as needed Ensuring the floral department is clean, tidy, and well-organised at all times Participating in merchandising activities to promote seasonal or promotional items effectively To provide exceptional customer service both in store, by phone and online Collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations within the store Occasional local deliveries in company van

Experience

Previous experience working as a Florist is essential Strong communication skills both with customers and colleagues Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure Must have held a full, clean drivers license for over a year Must have basic computer literacy Experience in merchandising or visual display design is beneficial but not essential A passion for flowers, plants, and creative floral design is essential for success in this role
All applicants must have worked as a Florist for a minimum of 2 years, ideally in a retail environment.

Hours are worked Mon - Sat however as a small business we realise the importance of work/life balance and try to offer the option of a long weekend off to employees on a monthly basis

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.75 per hour
