About Coop Cafe & Bar

Coop Cafe & Bar is a welcoming, community-focused venue offering quality coffee by day and craft beers, cocktails, and relaxed bar service by night. We pride ourselves on friendly service, well-made drinks, and creating a space locals love.

The Role

We're looking for

experienced bar staff

to join our team. This role suits confident, all-round hospitality professionals who are comfortable working across coffee, cocktails, and beer service, and who enjoy delivering great customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Bar Service

Provide friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable service Prepare classic and house cocktails to a high standard Serve and advise customers on craft beers, wines, and spirits Maintain smooth service during busy periods

Barista & Coffee Service

Prepare high-quality espresso-based coffees Maintain cleanliness and consistency of coffee equipment Deliver excellent cafe service during daytime shifts

Cellar & Beer Handling

Assist with cellar duties including keg changes and stock rotation Maintain beer quality through correct storage and handling Support line cleaning and cellar organisation

Standards & Teamwork

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation Follow licensing laws, health & safety, and food hygiene procedures Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth service Support opening, closing, and basic stock tasks when required
About You

Previous experience in a cafe, bar, or pub environment Confident with

cocktail preparation

and cocktail menus Barista experience using espresso machines Some experience or understanding of

cellar work

and draft systems Reliable, friendly, and customer-focused Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
Desirable (but not essential)

Passion for craft beer Food hygiene certificate Experience in independent or community-led venues

Pay: 10.50-12.50 per hour
