Job Summary

We are a small but rapidly expanding construction development company based in Hertfordshire, specialising in Residential New Builds, Renovations, Fit-Outs & Extensions (project values: 150k - 3m). We are seeking an experienced Freelance Construction Planner to join us on a flexible basis, working about 4 days per month plus additional days for post contract award for new schemes to support project scheduling, resource planning, and programme management as well as incorporate budget & resource requirement in collaboration with Project teams.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing project plans, ensuring that construction projects are completed on time and within budget. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Duties

Develop comprehensive project plans that outline timelines, resources, and budgets for construction projects. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables. Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to accommodate changes or delays, and propose mitigation strategies. Conduct site visits to assess progress and address any issues that may arise during construction. Prepare detailed reports on project status for management and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout the planning and execution phases.

Skills

Strong time management skills to effectively prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Asta Powerproject software is essential Excellent communication skills for liaising with team members, clients, and external partners. Ability to analyse complex information and make informed decisions quickly. Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in planning documents and reports.
