Responsibilities
Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Take orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations and upselling menu items when appropriate.
Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including dining spaces and service stations.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints with a positive attitude, providing help where necessary.
Perform basic maths calculations for billing and payments.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the restaurant environment.
Skills
Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in food preparation is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
A genuine passion for hospitality and providing excellent customer service.
Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest experience.
Basic culinary knowledge is beneficial for understanding menu offerings.
Proficiency in basic maths for handling transactions accurately.
Familiarity with food safety practices is preferred but can be taught on the job.
Previous experience in a restaurant setting is an advantage but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key.
