Experienced Gardener

We're flexible about working arrangements for the right person - full time or part time contracted hours each week or the flexibility of a zero hours contract if that's more appealing.

Usual hours are 7.30 - 6pm (with 1 hour lunch), with some flexibility

Based in Cuxton, Rochester, and working on customer sites across the southeast

We're an award-winning company with a passionate and innovative approach to landscaping and gardening. We're on a mission to transform outdoor spaces with a focus on re-wilding and sustainable principles, as well as creating and maintaining more traditional garden designs.

We're looking for an experienced gardener to support our existing team to meet increasing demands for our skills in garden maintenance projects of all sizes across the southeast, and to help us maintain and grow the positive impact we make on both the environment and our communities.

What we're looking for

A skilled and experienced gardener with a strong work ethic and customer service focus, an excellent knowledge of plants and sustainable gardening techniques and a love of being outdoors - whatever the weather!

You'll need to be able to:

Carry out all aspects of garden maintenance including planting, pruning, weeding and grass cutting on various customer sites

Assist with the installation of new garden features including planting beds, pathways, and water features

Drive a company vehicle to, from and between customer sites, transporting team members and equipment (when required)

Safely operate and, where necessary, check and carry out basic maintenance of gardening equipment and machinery in line with Health & Safety requirements

Work collaboratively with other team members to complete projects on time and to client specifications

Provide a friendly and knowledgeable service to customers, answering any gardening-related questions

You'll need to have:

A full UK driving licence and the ability to drive small company vehicles

Great gardening knowledge and experience, the ability to identify and address issues related to plant health and garden maintenance, and a good understanding of sustainability and eco-friendly work practices

A positive attitude, resilience and physical ability to lift and carry loads and operate gardening equipment

A professional and friendly approach to all customers, delivering high standards of customer service at all times

The desire and ability to develop great working relationships with other team members, to take direction and to support colleagues to achieve great results

A positive, measured and honest approach to resolving issues and the ability to change and adapt when needed to get the job done
