Job Description

Due to exciting growth in our maintenance division an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor based in Cambridge. You will have a good understanding of seasonal grounds maintenance and experience with a high quality finish and possess an excellent attention to detail.

Tasks include cutting grass with ride on/push mowers and strimmers; pruning shrubs and trees with shears, hedge cutters, and chainsaws (if qualified); removal of weeds with herbicide and by hand; leaf and debris collection using blowers, vacuums, and our Schmidt Road Sweeper (skills permitting). During November to March, there is also the opportunity to carry out gritting overnight, with 100 call out fee and pay at time and half.

You will work as part of a team carrying out high specification works on estates throughout Cambridge in a company vehicle. Hours of work will be 45 hours per week (if travelling direct to site), Monday to Friday, with opportunity for overtime paid at time and a half during the week and on Saturdays if available and desired.

Essential:

Full clean driving licence Experience in grounds maintenance (hands on 5 yrs + preferred) PA1 & PA6 Good face to face client liaison skills Ability to problem solve Previous supervisory experience/team leader

Preferred:

DBS Horticultural qualification Experience with large ride on/agricultural machinery Other tickets, e.g. chainsaw, forestry and arboriculture Experience in client liaison and delivery of high quality specification

Salary

Starting from 12.50 per hour depending on experience. Plus, overtime paid at time and a half. Salary will be discussed upon interview.
