We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our Award winning Indian restaurant team and oversee all aspects of food production and preparation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating innovative menus, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. We are looking for someone who does not treat this as just a job but rather a place where he can work happily with rest of the team as family!
Responsibilities
Plan & Prep for service team to make sure its goes smoothly
Make curries during service time in a busy environment
Supervise and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation and high-quality food production.
Develop and design seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations, hygiene, cleanliness standards within the kitchen.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food handling, and safety practices.
Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering of supplies to minimise waste while ensuring availability of ingredients.
Implement cost control measures to maintain budgetary guidelines without compromising quality.
Foster a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and professional development among staff.
Experience
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within a kitchen environment.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
A passion for culinary arts with creativity in menu development and presentation.
Previous experience in restaurant settings is highly desirable.
