We're now looking for an experienced

Hire Controller

to join our busy, high-performing Leeds HQ. In this varied customer service role, you'll handle inbound enquiries by phone, email, and face-to-face at the trade counter, making sure every customer gets the professional, friendly, and efficient service we're known for.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can juggle multiple tasks with ease, and has excellent communication and organisational skills.

Reporting to the Depot Manager you will be responsible for the following:

Dealing with customer enquiries via telephone and email in relation to delivery times, hire rates, collections and exchanges etc. Drawing up quotes for customers Booking equipment onto a bespoke system Dealing with customers face to face on the trade counter, resolving issues and prioritising customer requests Using excel & internal hire system Managing customers' expectations in line with the companies' 'customer first' policy Taking cash and card payments Delivery driver route planning Inter-department liaison to ensure best practice
Our ideal Hire Controller will have the following skills and experience:

ESSENTIAL:

Previous experience of working in the hire industry

Excellent telephone manner and communication skills Good all round computer skills To be able to work in a fast paced, and often changing, environment Presentable, professional appearance to represent PQS at front of house
This role comes with full training (a mix of on the job and certified training where required) and the potential for progression.

Hours: 7.30-4.30pm Mon-Fri

Holidays: 25days plus BH
