Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for outdoor work and have a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves a variety of tasks related to the upkeep and enhancement of gardens and outdoor spaces, ensuring they remain vibrant and well-maintained. The Landscape Technician will work with both hand tools and power tools, contributing to the overall aesthetic and functionality of our clients' landscapes.

Responsibilities

Perform regular landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, weeding, and planting. Operate and maintain various power tools and hand tools safely and effectively. Assist in the installation of new garden features, such as flower beds, pathways, and irrigation systems. Dig and prepare soil for planting, ensuring proper depth and aeration. Irrigate gardens efficiently to promote healthy plant growth while conserving water. Conduct routine inspections of landscaped areas to identify issues such as pests or disease. Collaborate with team members to complete landscaping projects on time and to a high standard. Maintain cleanliness of tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.

Requirements

Proven experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge related to the operation of landscaping equipment. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods. Familiarity with gardening techniques, including planting, pruning, and pest management. Proficient in using both hand tools and power tools safely. Excellent physical stamina, with the ability to lift heavy loads (up to 25 kg) as required. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Valid driving licence is advantageous but not essential.
