We're JDS Gardening - a young, ambitious team based in Roslin.

Ten years ago, Josh Dow started this business with nothing but a lawnmower and a dream. Today, we've got 18 full-time field staff, a buzzing landscaping division, and big plans for 2025: new location, new e-commerce sites, new opportunities.

We're growing fast - and we want brilliant people to grow with us.

The Role

Join a friendly, hardworking crew transforming gardens and commercial sites across Edinburgh and the Lothians. Whether it's sunshine or Scottish drizzle, you'll be outdoors making spaces look fantastic.

You'll be working closely with a Team Leader, acting as second in command and playing a key part in the delivery of our projects -- from routine maintenance to full garden renovations.

Day-to-day, you'll get stuck into:

Mowing lawns like a pro Strimming and hedge trimming Pruning shrubs and maintaining flower beds Keeping gardens weed-free and tidy Applying herbicides (PA1 & PA6 holders, we love you) Full garden renovations Soft landscaping and turfing Installing sheds and fences Installing decking

Who We're Looking For

Minimum 3 years' experience in gardening or landscaping You love working outdoors (even in classic Scottish weather) You're reliable, hands-on, and enjoy working in a team You've got experience using garden machinery - or a strong willingness to learn You're friendly and good with clients You take pride in your work and want to build a career, not just punch a clock You're happy working a minimum of 3 days per week or full time

Nice-to-Haves (but not essential):

Full, clean UK Driving License PA1 & PA6 certificates Experience with horticultural equipment Strong horticultural knowledge NC or HNC in Horticulture/Landscaping

Pay & Hours

15.00 per hour
