This is an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist with knowledge in the management of patients with Rheumatology and conditions affecting functional use of hands, including splint fabrication.
You will be expected to work as part of the Rheumatology and Hand Therapy Occupational Therapy team to deliver high quality, evidence based occupational therapy intervention to individuals who are experiencing functional difficulties using their hands.
We're seeking to appoint proactive, motivated and compassionate individuals with demonstrable experience in Rheumatology and Hand Therapy and a broad knowledge of clinical specialities, whose values are aligned to those of Hywel Dda University Health Board.

The post holder will be expected to travel across Carmarthenshire and at times the Health Board footprint to visit patients at home and between sites and undertake service development. Mileage allowance is payable and a lease car scheme is available.

You will have a buddy the first few weeks as part of your induction into our occupational therapy team, there will be formal supervision monthly, as well as informal when required. You will have a Personal Development appraisal once a year to support learning and development. Hywel Dda offers a wide range of learning within its own trust. There are options for flexible working.
We have pool cars if required, and mileage expenses for travelling to patients homes.

The post holder will be required to participate in the provision of a flexible 7 day service, based on service need. This will be on a rota basis.
