Role



This is an assistant role. Andra is seeking to recruit a keen, hard-working person to join its admin and accounts team.

The specific role for which we are currently recruiting is for an Office Accounts Assistant.

This particular role is more diverse than a typical accounts role and will require the successful candidate to support the team in all aspects of the accounts department, ranging from accounting tasks such as maintaining the sales ledger through to commercial tasks such as helping production with their weekly manufacturing requirements and regularly speaking to our customers, to understand their needs in order to create and convert sales opportunities.

Duties will include:

Assisting customers from enquiry through ordering to dispatch and post-receipt customer service; Creating and sending sales invoices; Reconciling the sales ledgers; Liaising with other teams within the business to help support our customers' needs; Updating and maintaining customer details on Sage; Assisting with bank reconciliations; The flexibility to assist other departments during peak trading; General office support
It is expected that the successful candidate would be generally helpful in contributing to the smooth and effective running of the office by contributing to tasks such as answering the phone professionally, answering the door, filing, booking in deliveries and checking in the post each day.

Full training will be provided. The successful candidate will also be trained in aspects of the other team members' roles to help them gain experience and knowledge of how an office functions.

Attributes of the right candidate



The right candidate will have had a couple of years of experience of working in an office previously.

The following skills will be very important in the role:

Being able to communicate well with all stakeholders, including customers, suppliers and other members of staff; Having experience in operating Sage 50 Accounts Professional Having some knowledge of Microsoft Excel; Having a methodical and orderly approach to work; Being precise and accurate with good numeracy and written skills; Having strong computer skills; Being able to work alone and use initiative; Being able to work collaboratively and communicate well as part of a team; Having a friendly and professional telephone manner; Having strong customer service skills; Being helpful, flexible and enthusiastic in your approach; and Being willing to learn

Support & training



Training will be offered in any respect which is beneficial to the candidate in delivering their role and will be provided by Andra Jewels.

Background



Ideally the candidate will hold the following qualifications, but doing so is not a pre-requisite in applying for this role.

GCSEs: 5 grades of A - C, including English and maths
AAT is an advantage but not essential
Some previous work experience in a similar role would be beneficial.

Hours



The working hours are:-

9am - 3pm (Mon - Thurs) and 9am - 12:30pm (Fri), for a total of 25.5 hours each week.

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm

Pay: 12.21-12.71 per hour
