We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry Chef to join our new state of the art bakery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and baking, with a keen eye for detail and a dedication to delivering high-quality pastries. Duties
Prepare and produce a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards
Assist in the development of new pastry recipes and menu items
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food preparation and handling
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry section and kitchen area
Monitor ingredient stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of products during service hours
Operate baking equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety guidelines
Support the broader kitchen team with food preparation tasks as required
Requirements
Proven experience in croissant products and lamination.
Proven experience in food production, baking, or culinary roles within a professional kitchen environment
4+ years experience required
The ideal candidate will live close to the bakery.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food preparation
Experience with cooking techniques specific to pastry making, including doughs, fillings, and decorative finishes
Familiarity with kitchen equipment used in baking and pastry arts
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is advantageous but not essential
A genuine passion for baking and creating visually appealing desserts
