Phlebotomist
to join our new Glasgow clinic, providing high-quality care and efficient sample collection.

Working hours:
Monday to Friday, 08:00-14:00 (excluding Bank Holidays)
Sometimes we might also ask you to cover sickness/days off in the nearby clinics (e.g. Edinburgh). Such covers will be requested in advance, travel expenses covered.
Key Responsibilities
Perform venepuncture and capillary blood collection from adults and children aged 5+ (preferably).
Ensure patients are treated with care, dignity, and professionalism to minimise distress or discomfort.
Accurately label, store, and manage biological samples in accordance with test requirements.
Maintain and restock phlebotomy supplies, ensuring all materials are within expiry and properly stored.
Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks in accordance with infection control policies.
Safely dispose of clinical waste and sharps following internal protocols.
Accurately update client records and enter data into the system.
Manage clinic bookings, take card payments, and communicate test-related information to clients.
Support team managers in daily work allocation and client coordination.
Provide training for new staff as required.
Work independently and take ownership of clinic operations and stock control.
Identify service quality issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
Undertake other relevant duties as required.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of
12 months full-time phlebotomy experience
following training/certification
Valid phlebotomy certificate
Up-to-date vaccinations
including Hepatitis B
DBS check
dated within the last 3 years
Strong IT skills
for booking, payment, and data entry
Excellent
communication and customer service skills
Ability to
work independently and manage a clinic solo
Capability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Strong
hand-eye coordination
, speed, and accuracy
Comfortable working in a
busy and fast-paced environment
Commitment to
maintaining confidentiality
and handling sensitive information appropriately
Must be
eligible to work in the UK
