Job description

The role is for a piano tutor in an exciting education centre in Bromley.

We are looking for a piano tutor/teacher for our centre to teach one-to-one for 30 min sessions (and some 45 min sessions also).

The role

- You will need to be proficient in piano

- You will be teaching adults and children 1-to-1 in 30min sessions.

- You will need to agree to a DBS check (to make sure everything is in order)

- You will be working a regular weekly schedule mostly within this time period - normally times within the period of 15:00 to 20:45 for weekdays, 9:00 to 17:30 on Saturdays and 9:00 to 13:45 on Sundays (we are in need of a piano tutor for

Wednesdays

).

- You will be responsible for planning and delivering one-to-one piano tuition and writing brief reports after each session.

BONUS SCHEME

At Bromley Conservatoire, we offer a 20% bonus scheme. The base rate of pay is 22 per hour but if you are able to commit to every teaching day in a term, you will receive a lump sum payment at the end of the term of an additional 20% on top of all pay received that term. For example, if you earned 400 in the term from September - December, at the end of the term, in December, you would receive a lump sum payment of 80. This brings your pay effectively to 26.40 per hour.

Acknowledge and accept their duty to protect any children under their care and within their professional scope.

Cultivate an understanding of the issues that can harm children and be able to identify signs of the four main types of abuse: emotional, physical, sexual, and neglect.

Be vigilant of 'grooming' behaviours, which are actions taken to befriend children as a precursor to abuse.

Promptly report any concerns following Bromley Conservatoire's established procedures for reporting safeguarding issues.

Implementing a procedure for reporting safeguarding concerns.

Reporting any concerns to the appropriate authorities.
