Charlotte James is recruiting for an experienced Product Designer to join their expanding team. Essential skills below. If you are interested please submit a CV and cover letter.

Design:

A good understanding of joinery, cabinetry and upholstery techniques. Knowledge of materials and finishes within high end Interior Design. An ability to communicate changes from designers to workshop, efficiently and accurately. Organising samples and achieving positive sign off for manufacture. Interpreting technical drawings supplied by clients including Interior designers, Architects and Contractors. Demonstrable experience using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks plus SketchUp to create technical drawings/visuals for client sign-off and production. Previous experience within the Architecture and/or Interior Design Industry.

Communication:

A clear ability to communicate with clients to understand and interpret their design brief, as well as successfully managing their expectations regarding manufacturing timescales. Accurately capturing all details and communicating effectively to the workshop what they need to manufacture. Confidently representing Charlotte James during Site Meetings and Showroom Visits.

Project Management:

Experience with project costings, updates and alterations. Experience in purchasing high end materials and components. Excellent time management skills. Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others to complete tasks. Highly organised individual with a methodical working style. Strong IT skills. Excellent problem solving skills. Experience using Xero and Gantt would be beneficial.

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
