Role Summary:
As an Experienced Purchaser, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, components, and services required for our manufacturing and installation operations. This role is critical to ensuring timely production / installation schedules, cost-effective purchasing, and quality supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the end-to-end procurement process for raw materials, parts, and consumables.
Negotiate prices and terms with new and existing suppliers.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or timescale.
Work closely with production, planning, and inventory teams to forecast demand and avoid material shortages or overstocking.
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a purchaser or procurement specialist in a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
