Quality Manager /Chief Inspector



Progressive bio-engineering company seeking a

meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Manager / Chief Inspector to

join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. A strong understanding of ISO 13485 or ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems essential for maintaining the integrity of our Quality Assurance Program.

The

Quality Manager

carries the full authority of the Chief Executive to ensure that the QMS and manufactured product meets the requirements of the required standards regulatory bodies.

Summary of Responsibilities:



? Quality Management System

? Inspection and test status

? In-process and final inspection of all product

? Inspection stamp control

? Quality procedure approval

? Authorise control document changes, inspection signatories, purchasing signatories

? Corrective Action Review

? Customer liaison & customer returns/complaints

? Training programs within Quality and Inspection

? Statistical techniques

? Internal Quality Audit program (except where directly responsible)

? In House NCR's

? Notification of customer quality requirements to production control

? Control of specification and standards

? Supplier monitoring & maintenance of approved lists and records

? Recording & maintenance of customer returns /complaints

? Corrective action on supplier review

? Maintenance of inspection and test records, calibration system records

? Internal Quality Audits.

From time to time delegate any of these responsibilities to other suitably qualified/trained personnel.

Chief Inspector



The ideal candidate MUST be a experienced inspector using measuring hand tools i.e. Verniers, Calipers, Micrometers, Surface Measurement Equipment. Have good experience with visual inspection equipment i.e. Optical Comparators, Shadowgraphs and visual magnification equipment Have a good understanding of engineering drawings and specifications Possess good communication and interpersonal skills Be familiar in calibrating and managing calibration systems Be able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy in their work and recognise the need for product quality and work to consistently high standards at all times. Good organisational skills, be methodical and have a very good eye for detail CMM programming and operating Be able to visually inspect highly-polished parts Have proven experience in this role within a manufacturing environment.

Hours of work

: 39 hours per week Monday to Friday

Holidays

: 28 days (incl stats) rising to 33 days in the 4th year
