In addition to supervising one full time AP you'll be hands-on, responsible for end-to-end accounts payable tasks including: processing employee expenses, managing supplier accounts, and supporting key finance activities.

Reconcile supplier statements and proactively investigate discrepancies or missing invoices.
Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs (BACS, CHAPS, international), ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Review, verify, and process employee expense claims in line with company policies, ensuring receipts, coding, and approvals are in place.
Respond to supplier and employee queries promptly and professionally, resolving issues efficiently.
Maintain and update supplier and employee records, including bank details and tax information, with a focus on accuracy and fraud prevention.
Support month-end close activities such as accruals, account reconciliations, and reporting.
Identify areas for process improvement and work with the wider finance team to implement more efficient workflows.
Ensure all AP processes comply with internal controls, VAT regulations, and audit requirements.
Candidate Profile:
3-5+ years of experience in an accounts payable role with exposure to high-volume processing.
Solid understanding of AP principles, VAT treatment, and expense claim processes.
Proficient in finance/ERP systems. Experience of Netsuite is an advantage.
Experience with employee expense management systems (e.g. Concur, Expensify) is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail, with a proactive and organised approach to workload.
Able to investigate and resolve issues independently and confidently communicate with stakeholders.
A team player who can manage responsibilities autonomously within a part-time schedule.
Desirable:
Experience working in a multi-entity or international business
Exposure to finance transformation or automation projects
What We Offer:
Flexible part-time working hours (20-25 hours per week)
